We are seeking to hire an experienced Automotive Warranty Administrator to process Automotive Warranty Claims from customer vehicles on service and costs from vehicle repairs; Including, preparing, reviewing, completing and submitting factory warranty claims. Applicants should have experience, good customer service and computer skills, and a general knowledge of vehicle mechanical operations. We value our employees and invest in their success!

Essential Duties - Warranty Clerk:

  • Process all claims by next business day following RO repair order finish date
  • Handle and resolve all claim corrections and charge-backs
  • Establish and maintain relations with the dealership employees
  • Review every warranty repair order written for proper completion, accuracy and legibility according to the policies and procedures
  • Analyze problems, identify trends and develop strategies for maximizing claim process
  • Flag the technicians for the hours earned on the service they performed
  • Check each repair order against the vehicles service history to avoid duplicate claims
  • Provide a weekly report to the service manager regarding claim status
  • Report any fraudulent manipulation of warranty claims to the General Manager and Dealer Principle.
  • Conduct weekly audits of warranty and schedules, reviewing all old claims, and address any adjustments or write-offs
  • Assist service consultants in closing all open warranty and extended warranty RO's
  • Assist service consultants and technicians with any warranty questions
  • Assist with special projects, audits and reports as requested
  • Review and manage all aging schedules and reports
  • Understand and comply with federal, state and local regulations, such as safety requirements, hazardous waste disposal, OSHA right-to-know, etc.
  • Attend all Warranty classes as needed
  • Any and all other daily duties as assigned by management as this is not an exhaustive list

Qualifications - Warranty Clerk:

  • Experience is required
  • General automotive operational knowledge is required
  • Good work ethic and computer skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • A positive attitude and professional appearance
  • Pleasant, energetic, conscientious, dependable, self-starter with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must pass pre-employment background check and MVR
